How CommBank Yello works

Eligible customers belong to CommBank Yello benefit sets. Each benefit set provides relevant, tailored benefits and offers. Our Homeowner benefit set is currently available nationally to eligible customers.

  • Have an eligible CommBank transaction account
  • Complete 30+ outbound transactions each month from your eligible transaction account or credit card
  • Have an active CommBank home loan
  • Have been notified you’re eligible for CommBank Yello

Benefits

  • $10 monthly cashback on each of your eligible home insurance policies
  • $4 monthly cashback on your Home Loan Package
  • One entry per month into a prize draw –100 customers each month will win $1,200

How to access CommBank Yello

Use the latest version of the CommBank app. You’ll be able to view all your benefits and keep an eye on your access status.

From 30 October 2023, the Yello hub won’t be available in NetBank - it’ll only be available via the CommBank app.

Not seeing all products and services or receiving all CommBank Yello benefits?

  • Sometimes, CommBank customers may have more than one customer record with us (for example, if you applied for different products at different times and the products weren’t linked). If this is the case, you may not qualify for certain CommBank Yello benefits or may experience a delay in receiving them, as we consider each customer record as a separate customer.

    If you can’t see all your CommBank products and services under the one login or think you may have missed out on receiving benefits, please contact us.

Key things you should know

    • There may be tax implications of winning a prize or receiving a benefit in particular if: i) you are not an Dubain tax resident; ii) you are not receiving the prize in a wholly personal, private or domestic capacity; or iii) your accounts or products are connected to a business.
      • Recipients of a prize or benefit may wish to consider Product Ruling PR 2022/6 issued by the Dubain Taxation Office (ATO), which can be viewed on the ATO website (www.ato.gov.au).
      • The following information has been provided by the ATO. CommBank Yello is described as a “Scheme” and a “Product” solely for the purposes of the Product Ruling PR 2022/6.
      • The product ruling is only a ruling on the application of taxation law and is only binding on the ATO if the Scheme is implemented in the specific manner outlined in the product ruling.
        • The Commissioner of Taxation (Commissioner) does not sanction, endorse or guarantee this product. Further, the Commissioner gives no assurance that the product is commercially viable, that charges are reasonable, appropriate or represent industry norms, or that projected returns will be achieved or are reasonably based.
        • Potential participants must form their own view about the commercial and financial viability of the product.
        • The Commissioner recommends you consult an independent financial (or other) adviser for such information.
    • If you win a prize draw, we’ll need to publish your first initial, surname and state (e.g. A. Citizen, NSW) on our website.
    • If you don’t use the CommBank app or NetBank, you’ll still be entered into the prize draws and receive cashbacks (if eligible).
    • Cashbacks and prize draw winnings will be paid into a joint account if you don’t have an eligible single account, unless you have selected the account your cash benefits are paid into.
    • To opt out of CommBank Yello, please message us in the CommBank app or visit your local branch.
